[super mario bros z episodio 9 remake]

Hello,

I used to watch the original series when I was a heavy Newgrounds user. Nowdays I don't normally come here because.. if I were to make a series like "this" I wouldn't use sprites and fully animate it.. maybe some day when I have the spare time I would do it. Huge HUGE fan of the original series, nevertheless I will not knock on the fact you used sprites for this.

What I did like:

- The cuts between scenes
- The choreography for the scenes
- The use of sprites

What I did not like

- very generic sequences
- use of premade animated effects and motion tweenining
- lack of originality and frame by frame sequences.

I think if you are the official SMBZ continuator the series is in good hands but.. you MUST put effort into it. Original creator DID use a lot of the "negatives" I mention but he got better at it as he grew older with the series, but if you really want to revive this series, please follow the foot print of this movie:

Yo veia esta serie cuando era un usario bien fiel a Newgrounds. Ahora en dia usualmente no regreso aqui a newgrounds, pero hoy estaba aburido y vi tu pelicula. Si fuera hacer una serie como esta pues la animara completamente en ves de usar "sprites", pero sera un dia cuando tenga tiempo addicional. Soy un fan grande de la serie original de "SMBZ". Como quiera no te voy a fastidiar porque la hicistes baso a sprites.

Lo que me gusto:

- Los cortes entre cada escenas
- La chiographia para las escenas
- El uso de los sprites

Lo que no me gusto:

- Escenas muy genereticas
- Uso de effectos pre-animados con motion tweeining
- Falto de originalida y falta de sequenceisas frama por frama

Creo que si eres al director official de continuar la series the SMBZ esta en buenas manos, pero tienes que poner MUCHO passion y efuerzo de tras de la serie. El creador original usaba muchas de las technicas "negativas" que mencione pero el mejoro por cada episodio en la serie. Si quieres revivir esta series, por favor sigue un ejemplo de esta pelicula:

I haven't been here in a while but find this quite humorous. Not bad, like the art style and the animation (for it's intent) was fluid. Keep it up.

it was great. love the style and the short, sonamy9000 I am also a huge sonic fan, you are nitpickin like crazy. :|.

[Heroes of Cybertron]

A classic, one of the movies I saw when i first joined this site. Shit needs to be REMADE.

Very enterntaining

Very nice and fluid. I really loved that you added the "Departure (acoustic)" from Rurouni Kenshin in that for a nice little ending. Good stuff!

[Metal Gear Awesome 2]

I love it!

I still think the first one was a classic, but this one is just an extension of the classic. I love em both. Good to see humor like this in newgrounds ;)

[Sonic Vs. Shadow The Race]

It was good.. but like the previous reviewer said

Be more original. Simple as that. The back drop / shot / action is all based on Alvin's perception of an "action" scene. Bring your own spice ;) then perhaps we can give you better compliment. Nice job though. Doing sprites ain't easy ;).

[Super Sprite Bros Melee 2]

It was alright. Could of been done better.

I am going to give you my honest opinion instead of just basing it on "OMG LINK WON!"

The fact is that some fight scenes were horribly choreograph. Some were great! [angels 3 fights 2nd round bouts] The others felt .. too quick and rush as in to kill of the characters.

cloud died way to fast.
the guy cloud fought died way to fast.

4 man fight was horrible. Why the heck didn't the girl fight? It as like time freeze let me just rest and let link do all work!

I mean good stuff but you guys give a bad example for the spriting community by just copy and pasting and adding flash effects.

A bit of customized sprite animation would of really made this movie shine.

I give it a 5 because majority of the material isn't yours. I don't think even the cloud sprite is even urs O_o.

Either way keep it up. Hope next movie is better.
